Ingpen and Williams singers to feature strongly in Opera North’s Britten Season

No less than six of our singers will be involved in Opera North’s autumn season of Britten operas. Leading the way will be Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts repeating his extraordinary portrayal of Peter Grimes in Phyllida Lloyd’s award-winning production, joined for this revival by Robert Hayward as Balstrode. Running alongside Peter Grimes will be a revival of Martin Duncan’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream  in which Henry Waddington and Darren Jeffery will share the role of Bottom (with Darren singing Theseus during the first half of the run), while Sky Ingram and Kathryn Rudge will sing Helena and Hermia. Peter Grimes will open in the Grand Theatre Leeds on September 14 and A Midsummer Night’s Dream on September 28.
