Ingpen Artists to feature in Aldeburgh Britten Centenary Weekend

Our artists feature heavily in Aldeburgh’s celebrations around Britten’s 100th birthday on November 22nd.

On November 21 Andrew Shore will sing the title role in a production of Noye’s Fludde to be staged in Lowestoft Paris Church; the centenary concert itself, on Nov 22 in the Snape Maltings, with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Oliver Knussen will include the world premiere of Ryan Wigglesworth’s latest work Locke’s Theatre, and Claire Booth will be soprano soloist in Britten’s Spring Symphony; on Saturday morning November 23 Andrew Gourlay will conduct the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Maltings in a family concert including Britten’s Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra; and on Sunday November 24 Allan Clayton will finish the weekend with Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.
