Ryan Wigglesworth and Sir Mark Elder feature prominently in the 2024 Aldeburgh Festival
19.12.23Ryan Wigglesworth will conduct three concerts at Snape Maltings in the 2024 Aldeburgh Festival. He will present his Knussen Chamber Orchestra on June 11 in a programme of Mozart, Judith Weir and a new work of his own, as well as playing Mozart’s C minor Piano Concerto K491. On June 19 and 20 he will bring his BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to Snape for programmes including Bruckner 7 and Mahler 4, and Unsik Chin’s Cello Concerto with Alban Gerhardt.
Sir Mark Elder will close the Festival on June 23 with Mahler 5 with the Hallé.
