WNO’s Death in Venice, Featuring Roderick Williams, Gareth Brynmor John and Alexander Chance, Wins RPS Opera Award

Welsh National Opera’s production of Britten’s Death in Venice, which featured Groves artists Roderick Williams, Gareth Brynmor John and Alexander Chance, has won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Opera and Music Theatre Award yesterday. Their announcement read:

“…in the face of stark funding cuts, Welsh National Opera received the Opera and Music Theatre Award for Britten’s Death in Venice, sensationally combining opera and acrobatics.”
