Andrew Gourlay to step in for Barbican performance02.11.12
As Colin Davis is continuing to recover from his recent illness, Andrew Gourlay will conduct the Guildhall School’s performance on 21st November 2012 at the Barbican in his place.
The programme will remain the same and includes Dvorak’s Symphony no. 7 in D minor and Humperdinck’s Suite from Hansel und Gretel.
Maestro Gourlay’s future dates include engagements with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, the Hallé, Northern Sinfonia, Royal Flanders Philharmonic, Melbourne Symphony and the Symphonic Orchestra of Chile. In 2013, he will work as Assistant Conductor for Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
