Paris Opera debut for Paul Daniel

Paul Daniel will make his Paris Opera debut at the Palais Garnier on January 23 conducting Richard Jones’ production of a double-bill of Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges and Zemlinsky’s Der Zwerg. Daniel takes up his position this month as Chief Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia and in September he will also become Music Director of the Orchestre National de Bordeaux. In June he will conduct a new production, also directed by Richard Jones, of Britten’s Gloriana at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden to celebrate the Britten centenary.
