Rachel Nicholls to sing Eva in new Meistersinger production in Karlsruhe
17.04.14Rachel Nicholls will make her debut in the role of Eva in a new production of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe on April 27, with further performances running until July 12th. The production will be conducted by Karlsruhe Music Director Justin Brown and directed by Tobias Kratzer. She will return to London in May to sing Guinevere in a concert performance of Birtwistle’s Gawain with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Barbican on May 16th. Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts will repeat the role of Arthur in this concert, which he sang at last year’s Salzburg Festival.
