Ivor Bolton to make debut at Deustche Staatsoper Berlin

Ivor Bolton is currently rehearsing a new production of The Turn of the Screw , directed by his long term collaborator Claus Guth, which will open at the Schiller Theater in Berlin on November 15^th.  Other forthcoming opera projects this season include Cesti’s L’Orontea for Oper Frankfurt and Handel’s Saul, directed by Barrie Kosky, for the 2015 Glyndebourne Festival.  Orchestral engagements, apart from his continuing work as Chief Conductor of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, include the Netherlands Philharmonic in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Tonkünstler Orchestra in Grafenegg, the Basel Symphony Orchestra and his annual commitment to the Dresden Festival Orchestra at the Dresden Festival in May.
