Andrew Gourlay and the Britten Sinfonia in Bucharest and London

Andrew Gourlay will conduct the Britten Sinfonia at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest and in London’s Milton Hall on September 19 and 20.

The programmes will feature tenor Allan Clayton in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Refugee, which will receive its UK premiere in Milton Hall.

The following week, Gourlay will present his newly constructed Parsifal suite in an afternoon concert on September 27 at Cardiff’s Hoddinott Hall with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. This is an orchestral suite of many of the musical highlights from Wagner’s opera.
