
Kiandra Howarth awarded first prize in the Joan Sutherland & Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award
12.09.19Groves Artists are delighted to announce that on the 8th September 2019 in Sydney soprano Kiandra Howarth was awarded first prize in the Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award as well as the audience prize and the Sydney Philharmonia prize. Additionally she was awarded third prize in the Elizabeth Connell Prize and was the first finalist ever to participate in both competitions.
A former member of the Jette Parker Young Artist programme at the Royal Opera House, Kiandra will return there this autumn to sing the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte. Other future engagements include Pamina / Die Zauberflöte for the Teatro Regio, Torino.
