Ivor Bolton and Barrie Kosky enjoy huge critical acclaim for Glyndebourne Saul

Glyndebourne Festival Opera’s production of Handel’s Saul, conducted by Ivor Bolton and directed by Barrie Kosky, has opened to universal critical acclaim. The staging, cast, orchestra, chorus, choreography and conductor have all received equal praise and the event has been hailed a landmark in Glyndebourne’s distinguished history, to rank with the famous Theodora production of 1996.

Following the Glyndebourne run Ivor Bolton will return to the Royal Opera House to open the 2015/16 season with Le Nozze di Figaro. Meanwhile, Barrie Kosky’s celebrated Komische Oper production of Die Zauberflöte can be seen at the Edinburgh Festival in four performances between August 27 and 30.
