Graham Vick to direct War and Peace in St Petersburg
07.07.14Following the success of his Boris Godunov production in 2012, Graham Vick has returned to the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg to direct Prokofiev’s monumental War and Peace, conducted by Valery Gergiev. The production will be mounted in the new Mariinsky 2 theatre and opens on July 15th. It will be shown in cinemas worldwide on July 16th. Gergiev and Vick collaborated on a previous Mariinsky production of this opera back in 1991.
