
Rachel Nicholls to sing her first Isolde
27.05.15Soprano Rachel Nicholls, described by The Guardian as ‘the most impressive British Brünnhilde for years’, will sing her first Isolde at Longborough Festival Opera on June 12. Rachel has already sung Brünnhilde for Longborough, to great critical acclaim, and other recent successes have included Eva in ENO’s award-winning production of The Mastersingers of Nuremberg, Senta in The Flying Dutchman for Scottish Opera and Leonore in Fidelio for the Bergen National Opera.
Future commitments include Lady Macbeth (Verdi’s Macbeth) and Isolde for the Badische Staatsoper Karlsruhe.
