Gramophone Award for Sir Mark Elder's Apostles recording with Hallé completes Elgar clean sweep.

Sir Mark Elder’s recording of The Apostles on the Hallé label, which has already been named Recording of the Year by BBC Music Magazine, was yesterday awarded the Gramophone Award for best choral recording. This completes a clean sweep of Gramophone choral awards for Elder’s Elgar oratorio recordings with the Hallé: The Dream of Gerontius  won the award in 2009 and The Kingdom in 2011.
